DRYER FIRES & YOUR SAFETY
-Most dryer fires in the United States are caused by the build up of lint in your dryer vent and duct system.
-While most people know that they have to clean out the lint trap after EVERY single use you would be surprised at how many people do not know that this is a task that exists AT ALL!!
-This leads up to MASSIVE amounts of lint building up and clogging your duct system, While this is happening your clog isn't giving the system proper ventilation and when the heat rises to dangerous levels the chances of a dryer igniting are increased exponentially.
-Now while this is very unlikely cause most dryers have a hi limit thermostat that shuts it off if it gets too hot, Some dryers thermostats fail and that's where the big danger Lies!

-NEVER NEVER NEVER leave your home while your dryer is running. I know its a hassle to have to wait until you get back but look at the bright side you might not have a home to come back to if you hadn't!
-Do your very best to keep socks, ties, foreign objects or anything at all from getting trapped behind your dryer.
-Every 2 or 3 months do some spring cleaning behind the washer and dryer but BE CAREFUL, your dryer might be hooked up to natural gas and we wouldn't want a gas leak now would we. So if this step is a little tricky then I would recommend waiting for the next tip which is...
